Recently, CEC Fujian Institute has successfully won the EPC contract for the construction of the internal combustion engine power plant of KNI's 120,000 tons per year nickel metal hydroxide project in IPIP Industrial Park, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. This project is the first EPC project undertaken by CEC Fujian Institute in Indonesia, which marks the first time that natural gas internal combustion engine is used for power generation in Indonesia's industrial parks, which has an important demonstration effect, and further demonstrates the company's continuous innovation and contribution in the field of clean energy.
The project will build a brand new power plant, using natural gas as the main energy source, equipped with four internal combustion generator sets with a single capacity of 18 MW, as well as waste heat boilers and a series of auxiliary mechanical equipment. The project will also include storage and gasification facilities for liquefied natural gas (LNG), an innovative feature of the project that will help to develop and utilize Indonesia's abundant natural gas resources, especially in light of the uneven distribution of reserves. This not only enhances the efficiency of energy utilization, but also provides strong support for the cleaner utilization of natural gas in Indonesia.

This cooperation project was highly valued by the top management of Indonesia during the signing stage, and the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, personally witnessed the signing of the cooperation agreement. This project not only promotes the in-depth cooperation between China and Indonesia in the field of energy, but also lays an important foundation for the electrification transformation of Indonesia's automotive industry. With the increasing global demand for electric vehicles, the supply of nickel, as an important raw material for the manufacture of batteries, is crucial to Indonesia's industrial upgrading. the advancement of the KNI project will provide a key raw material guarantee for the production of electric vehicles in Indonesia, especially in the context of Ford's plan to expand its electric vehicle production capacity in Indonesia, and the construction of the project will provide a strong support for Ford's production plan.
This project is the third internal combustion engine power plant EPC project of CEC Fujian Institute in Southeast Asia. Upon completion, the project will bring a more stable, safe and efficient power supply to the industrial park in Indonesia. This power plant not only meets the power demand of the industrial park, but also provides practical solutions for the utilization and promotion of local clean energy. With the successful implementation of this project, CEC Fujian Yard has once again demonstrated its strong engineering capability in the international market and its firm determination to promote the development of clean energy.
